Elise on SimplyRecipes put up a step by step guide with woderful pictures on how to prepare and enjoy an arthichoke. I never had arthichoke before, in fact never seen one before until I came to California, her post indeed is very helpful. Maybe I will try it out of curiosity. :p

That sounds like a good side dish. The last time I tried to make an artichoke it didn't seem right, maybe I didn't cook it long enough. (When I tried the link, it didn't work.)
